Newsletter Friday 13th January 2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to a new term.
Thank you for all the support you gave to the school last term and for the very many Christmas wishes. I hope you all had a happy and holy Christmas and New Year. We began the year by celebrating whole school Mass, on the Epiphany, with Father Victor at Sacred Heart. Father Victor has a special way of telling the children that God’s love is always with us and the children will always remember His love is ‘so high, so low and so wide’ that we can’t get away from it. Ask the children to sing it to you and you will be filled with joy!

There will be an INSET DAY on Friday 31st March.  School will end for children on Thursday 30th of March for Easter.

Thank you
for ensuring that mobile phones were switched off and no photos were taken during performances at the end of term.  Safeguarding children is very important and I am sure you understand the reasons explained to you.  The Nativity plays will be available on the website for you to view.  You will be given a special password to log in.

We are trying to ensure all children are in school all of the time.  We have very good attendance but would like to make it excellent - 100%!  Regularly, there are half a dozen children who are here sometimes until 4pm – they become so disheartened so

I would also ask you or whoever you designate to be on time to pick up your children.

Reflection

Lord give us each day the wisdom to recognise which things are important and which things are not. Show us how best to use the times and talents you have given us.  Help us to use all opportunities wisely that we may give in service to others the good gifts we have received from you. Amen
