St Joseph's Camberwell Catholic Schools' Federation: 'The overall effectiveness in providing Catholic education is Outstanding '
Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of the School,
On March the 11th 2015 St Joseph’s had its Section 48 inspection. Section 48 inspects the Catholic life of the school. It is a rigorous process much like an Ofsted inspection!
It is with great pride that I can officially tell you St Joseph’s Camberwell Catholic Schools’ Federation is:
‘Overall Outstanding in providing a Catholic Education’
This result is a credit to everyone and the way we work together to ensure our children are educated socially, morally, spiritually and culturally to go out into the wider world as accomplished individuals ready to give back to their community and beyond.
My great thanks go to:
- The children who without doubt impressed the inspectors with their vibrancy and honesty
- You as parents, the primary educators in your children’s Catholic life
- The teachers and support staff at St Joseph’s who make this school what it is and enable the pupils to have ‘an outstanding sense of belonging’ and provide ‘ a warm nurturing and very caring environment in which young children develop and learn’
- Theresa Mokogwu, Sheila Kirrane and Delia Jameson, Heads of School and RE Coordinators, who have ensured spirituality and ethos are never less than outstanding
- Father Victor and Father Paul who along with the parish support our children’s faith journey in school with enthusiasm, courage and sensitivity
- Our school governors who, importantly, are helping and motivating improvements across the Federation
